JD system Administrator
- Provide first and second-level support for desktop, laptop, and peripheral devices (printers, scanners, etc.).
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Manage and resolve user problems related to operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux) and business applications.
- Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
- Set up new workstations, deploy software, and ensure network connectivity.
- Support user onboarding processes by setting up new employee workstations, configuring user profiles, and ensuring access to the necessary systems.
- Perform regular maintenance and updates of operating systems and applications.
- Ensure the timely application of security patches and antivirus updates.
- Conduct hardware upgrades, installations, and replacements as needed.
- Monitor system performance and ensure optimal operation of IT equipment.
- Assist with basic network troubleshooting, including connectivity issues, IP configurations, and wireless access.
- Support VPN and remote access configurations.
- Collaborate with the network team for escalated network-related issues.
- Perform regular system backups, including daily, weekly, and monthly backups, and ensure the integrity of the backups by conducting routine testing.
- Offer assistance in using email, file storage, collaboration tools, and other business applications.
- Handle service requests and incidents via a ticketing system.
- Provide timely updates to end-users regarding the status of their support requests.
- Work closely with the IT team to ensure smooth resolution of technical issues.
- Liaise with third-party vendors for hardware repairs and software troubleshooting.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in desktop support, IT helpdesk, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to assist non-technical users.
- Certifications like A+, Microsoft Certified, CCNA.
